Somewhere along the line, and I think I only noticed it after updating the BIOS to 2.09, whenever I booted into Vista (x64) on my G50V-A2 I would get an error message that Power4Gear Extreme had failed to load.

I've tried everything that I can think of in terms of uninstalling Power4Gear and reinstalling, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the ATK files and Direct Console 2.0 (as it seems the CPU monitor only displays when Power4Gear is installed otherwise it shows it as 0%).

I can reinstall everything but I get the same error message with Power4Gear whenever Vista loads.

Has anyone else had this problem and do you know how to resolve it? I've got my laptop to nearly perfect working condition except for this and it's just bugging the life out of me. This forum has been great with useful information and I know there are some very knowledgeable individuals that post on here so I'm hopeful someone can help me out here.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,

Try and download all the windows updates and see if there is a newer version of P4G on the Asus website.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Is there any particular order that I need to reinstall the files or just go in the order that you have listed here? I'll try it tonight.
