For two systems with the exact same processor, the memory set to the same speed, and the same class of video card, I would have thought that these Vantage test results would have come up closer. But they did not

PCMark Suite: This category performs a range of tests to reach a overall marker of system performance. The score is dervived from performance results of the other 7 suites, as well as performing additional extensive tests on GPU, CPU, and HDD performance.

Memories Suite: This category measures the performance of 'memories' (more commonly referred to as 'Memory') in image and video manipulation tests, including: stretching, flipping, rotating images; transcoding video to a portable device; and HDD video editing.

TV and Movie Suite: This category uses 7 different transcoding, playback, streaming, and media centre related benchmarks to reach a score.

Gaming Suite: This category utilizes a GPU test, a CPU test, a simulatenous CPU / data decompression test, and a multi-threaded test to come up with a score for gaming.

Music Suite: For a music benchmark score, Vantage performs a web page rendering test, an audio transcoding test, and various transcoding / decoding tests for a score in music.

Communications Suite: This category looks at audio transcoding (simulated VOIP), data decryption and compression, web page rendering, and Windows Defender / Windows Mail performance.

Productivity Suite: This category measures performance in loading applications, Windows Vista start-up times, and various CPU and memory reliant multi-thread benchmarks.

HDD Suite: This final suite is all about hard drive performance. 8 different tests are run to measure read/write times across different varities of applications

Perhaps a slightly slower one so that we can see if the laptop C2D is still beaten?

WoW, I wouldn't have thought it would be this big.

EDIT: I just ran it and I got 3100pts in the PCMarks suits. So sorry but I call BS on those scores.

No way my E4500 scores higher

thx jcms for replay , can u try pc mark vantage and post ur results ?

shoothtfu , i belive in compaing with slower cpu's the result's would be very close , why ?

becoz in high clocks c90 can't output the all his power , don't forget also the 945 chipst,
but in slower cpu i think it would be close , jcms will probably try and answer back us
