This might be the most complicated line of notebooks/netbooks ever created. I would like to know if there are any 7inch ones that get similar battery life to the "sea-shell" ones, which I believe get 10 or so, much better than the normal ones. Where is a good site that explains this/sells these items.
I was looking at this one:
Newegg.com - ASUS Eee PC 1001P-PU17-WT White (texture) Intel Atom N450(1.66GHz) 10.1" WSVGA 1GB Memory 250GB HDD Netbook
Its the 1001P-PU17-WT... is it the latest? Is there a smaller one with the same battery life or one with higher res? Thanks.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Asus hasn't made a 7 inch netbook in 3 years. And all of their 10" netbooks have 1024x600 screens. The old, smaller 9 and 7 inch screens had lower res.
Spend some time looking further around Newegg at the Asus netbook lines - most items list anticipated battery life as part of the item descriptions.
But yes, the link is probably the current gen model, or else the most recently replaced one for the 1001 series. -

The 7 inch models are the same exact size lengthwise as the 9" ones. Unfortunately they are all discontinued.
For all the old models there's a chart of all of them.
Also I'd recommend the 1015PEM if you're going with a recent Eee. Dual core Atom and matte screen with a matte finish case. Just my 2 cents...
