This is a little something i made for a 3D Modelling contest. This is an idea of mine that i've alwaise had, and i have modeled it in 3D. Its an Express Card Slot laser mouse that works with blue tooth, and the battery is recharged while it is in the port. I just want to know what you guys think of the idea... if you would actually like to buy one or not?

Similiar to the MoGo concept, the only downfall would be ergonomics, and how it may effect long term usage.

As for buying one, I really can't say til I've tested it out.

    It's more than a concept - they're actually making it :)

The PC card MoGo mouse has been out for a while and the ExpressCard MoGo mouse was announced at this year's CES. It should be out in a few months, and I WILL be buying one when they come out. The new version also has a touch sensitive scrolling pad in between the buttons.

except for the express card recharging it i like the idea

I would not ruin my express card plugging this thing in many times a day.

The battery lasts for over a week under normal use. I doubt that's something you need to worry about.

It's a cool concept, but really doesn't have much use when you think about it. Yes, you can control the cursor from a distance but the use of it in your hand or on a table would be the question for me.... how to use it and WHY someone would need it.

If you can answer that, you may have something... ;)

I guess if your a traveler who really wants to save space, you could justify it... otherwise... I agree - it's sorta gimicky.

Oh, I'm sorry... I totally skipped the idea that it was a laser mouse.. just thought it was a trackpad.... As a mouse it certainly has more possibilities for sure and I feel like an idiot for missing that one important detail.

Now that I realize that, the only problem I see is that it would be ackward to use... and in that case, what's wrong with the touchpad?
