I'll be using it as a desktop replacement the majority of the time.. but I figure that the laptop being mobile and all, I'd like to use it for more than 90 minutes at a time.

What are some things that can be done to save the battery, and are there any accessories that can be used to extend the battery life? (upgradeable battery?)

    Thanks!

Well, certainly there are your brightness settings and in Vista there is in the taskbar a power option there that you can set on Power Saver (the other modes are Balanced and High Performance). Also turning off wireless internet saves you SOME battery but it is not significant really. Hope that helps some!

The most easy fix is to get a second battery then program your laptop to go to hibernation mode when battery gets critical then just switch battery then you should have 3 hours.

Then again if you need portability then you might want to consider another laptop with a santa rosa chipset and less screen size/resolution
