    Hi all,
I have an Asus V1s hooked up to an NEC 42 inch display via HDMI running Windows 7 Release Candidate.

Almost Everything runs fine, display is auto detected and outputted however My V1S is cropping the desktop slightly.

When viewing the desktop on the external display the top and bottom of the screen is cropped only slightly the left and right hand side more - I can see everything on the desktop but I can only see the top right hand edge of the start button just as an example of how much screen is missing. It certainly does not affect watching movies but proves difficult closing full screen windows as the red cross is lost off the top right hand corner.

My windows 7 install is running a Windows 7 pre release driver installed as part of a windows update and it has not installed the nvidia control panel. I have checked LaptopVideo2Go and they do have a Windows 7 Driver but the modded inf link was dead when I tried it. Obviously when the driver is available again i'll give it a try but if anyone knows anything I could try in the mean then please let me know.

    Thanks Everyone.

Sounds like an overscan issue with the Monitor (or maybe, its called underscan.)

The monitor probably does it with all incoming HDMI connections.

    Hi

I hope you have managed to resolved this problem.

Recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate, and Win7 found the updated NVidia driver.

Attached to tv through HDMI cable and all works well.
