I have this really bad flickering on my external LCD (LG 204WT). I am leaning towards blaming it on the VGA connection/X1600 on my w3j as I tried couple other monitors and get the same annoying flicker. I tried playing with refresh rates, but it doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever. Have anybody experienced the same problem?

To try to help:
1. what resolution are you outputting and is it the native res for that screen?
2. what drivers and what version of those drivers are you using?
3... I output to external monitors day in and day out, and using many asus models over many years..... of late, have output four different models w/ x1600's on various screens and never had a problem.
..... I'd be curious about the cables to those monitors, as I've had problems there... whether it be the pins or the actual connection itself... but I can at least tell you that it's not normal and if it is infact the system, it's something Asus would take care of for you. -
Thanks for trying to help.
1. I am outputting to LCD's native resolution - WSXGA+.
2. Using the latest Omega drivers now, but before that had stock Asus drivers.
3. Cable is the one that came with the monitor. I need to try to hoop up another laptop to it and see if that would change anything. I really hope it is not the w3j though. Perhaps I am emitting some strong electromagnetic currents...don't know how toi fix that. -
my lcd external vp912b flickers occasionally but no more than it did when i used it for my desktop a year ago..i'd say its the monitor
