I am pretty sure that I am going to buy the V2s. I also have a nice Dell 2001FP monitor, so I was wondering if the docking station will connect to the monitor as well. What kind of resolution can I reasonably expect?

I currently run 1600x1200 with my very old desktop with a GeForce 3 card, and the games I used to play looked very nice on the monitor.

It can probably go up to 1900x1400, depending on the LCD monitor, but it looks like your LCD supports up to 1600 x 1200 max.

    Eh? Isn't it 1440x900 for the V2 since it's a 14"?

I have 1680x1050 on my V1, and an external monitor that does 1680x1050 as well => 3360x1050. I would imagine a 8600 should also be able to do this.
