    Hi,
I'm thinking about choosing from F3Jp and A8Js

    ASUS F3JP-AK048P CORE 2 DUO T7200 2.0GHZ / 1GB / 120GB HDD / 15.4" WSXGA+ / DVD-RW DUAL / XP PRO / 802.11ABG WIRELESS (#90NL0A263291121L600Y) (Retail)

    ASUS A8JS-4S024P CORE 2 DUO T7200 2GHZ / 1GB / 120GB HDD / 14" WXGA / DVD-RW DUAL / XP PRO / 802.11ABG WIRELESS (#90NKNA113134321L201Y) (Retail)

while A8Js has a better graphic card, i prefer the 15.4 screen. BTW F3JP has 2*512mb ram and A8Js has 1*1Gb ram.
I'm not going to be a gamer but I want to have a laptop that's stable and powerful.
I live in Canada so I can't order from newegg. too bad~
    F3JP costs 100 cdn less than A8Js.
    Thanks in advance.

that is a tough one. I'd go with the a8js. I had a 15.4" Sony FE and I thought it was just a bit too big.

If you're going to take the notebook around with you a lot, I suggest getting the A8Js though it only has mediocre battery life. If you're planning to leave it on a desk most of the time, I think 15" is the best screen size.

you mentioned the f3jc, but have given specs for f3jp.. which one's it? If it's f3jc, then no contest at all. Go for A8JS. with F3JP, you may be in fr a bit of a dilemma.. Maybe you could list your requirements, for a better reply.

sorry, :) I was so sleepy last night because I was reading everywhere till 2am, trying to decide which one is better for me.

YEs, it will be on my desk for almost 60% of time but I want some portability.
One problem is that I'll definitely go to 2*1GB sooner or later. I'm just wondering can I sell the 2*512MB 667 modules to reduce the cost  ? If so, where can I sell it to?

    Any inputs are appreciated. :)

If you're going to travel around 40% of the time, I'd get the a8js because it's more portable, just remember it's battery life is only about 2.5 hours.

Yes, you can sell the ram modules you don't need, the best place would probably be ebay.
