I have an F3JM with the 1680x1050 screen and occasionally notice a slight shake in the screen that last's a second or so. Sometimes it occurs every few minutes, other times it doesn't occur for upto half an hour. The problem occurs both on battery and mains power. I updated to the latest bios earlier today, but it hasn't made a difference. I only ever seem to notice the problem when looking at IE/office or a normal window's app, I haven't ever noticed it while playing games. The video card has not and won't ever be overclocked.
Does anyone else with the same notebook notice this problem? I haven't contacted support about it yet, just trying to find out if it is a common problem or am I just unlucky....
I'm a bit reluctant to rush back to the place I purchased the unit as knowing my luck, I will fire it up and the problem won't occur while they are looking at it.

Sure it ain't your eyes that's causing it.. HAppens to me when i have been staring at the screen fr too long, and my eyes are tired.

From my understanding of what you are describing can be, just like sesshomaru stated, tiredness of your eyes.
It can be video card drivers that may cause this, so either install new drivers or reinstall the current ones and see if that makes a difference.
Also have a friend and you both look at the screen to verify that this is a problem, rather than just tired eyes playing tricks. -
Thanks for the replies guys.
Unfortunately it's not my eyes causing it. There is something definately up. I have tried a number of drivers but the issue still seems to occur.
I have a sneaking suspicion that it may be heat related as it seems to happen more when the laptop is in "Super Performance" mode. Unfortunately I haven't worked out a way to get the issue to happen on que yet. -

As soon as you get it to happen on que, you can contact the Asus about it and give specific directions on how to make it happen, if you send it in for RMA.
However if you RMA and they can't reproduce the problem there, then they can't do anything about it. Despite the fact you are having a problem with the screen.
I know, how about taking pictures/videos of this occurance when it happens, to build up evidence and present it to the ASUS service center if possible.
