I've had my F3JP for about 2 and a half weeks. Today I noticed a small "bright" area on my screen. Its like a line across the center of it, and a small dot lower to the bottom of the screen. At first I thought my screen was just dirty, but after trying to clean it thirty times, it just hasn't gone away. I'm thinking maybe its the screen itself? I'm not really sure. Has the latest BIOS and everything works perfectly.

It's not there when the monitor is off either.

Yeah, it's nothing major, but it's bugging the crap out of me. Should I RMA it?

When I enlarge your pictures I see what looks to me like three stuck pixels, in addition to the other weirdness on your screen. Were the machine my own, I'd send it back for repair.

Actually, the stuck pixels are from my camera. Heh.

I'll give them a call tomorrow to RMA it. Do I need the receipt or just the serial numbers and stuff off of the box that it came in?

Just guessing - you'll need the serial numbers which Asus (or Reseller) should be able to match to you, but if the receipt is handy it can't hurt. :)

Serial numbers + make a COPY of the receipt (not the original) and put it in the box. They wouldn't mind I suppose if the receipt isn't there but it's better if it is.
