Just thinking of which to buy? there pretty much the same price give take $100 at different stores. Had a bit of difficulty researching the F3JP - different stores all had different specs for some reason (Australian stores, some saying not core2 others even writing x700 or g7600....)

Tried to look up x1700 - not too sure how it performs - cant find anything on it.

I use this laptop mostly for gamming.

    thanks

You'll definitely want to go with the F3 in your case... the X1700 is a great chip, and the fact that it already has Core 2 Duo makes it futureproof.

Yeah, F3JP is better than A6QJA. I own an F3 series laptop and I'm VERY SATISFIED with it.

well the new x1700 isn't much faster than the x1600 (if at all!), but it's supposed to have a lower power consumption. the x1600 and go 7600 are about equal, when choosing between the two the clockspeeds are going to matter *a lot*

that would make sense then.. maybe a go7700 would be ideal!

however, i guess lower power consuption would mean less heat... which would be better in longer periods of gaming then?
