As it seems the almost daily lugging to and from my uni for 8 months has finally gotten to my precious F3Jc and recently I've discovered that the right screen hinge cover has moved up 1-3mm. Thinking it was nothing pushed to down to place but it seems that after some time it moves up again mainly from the front edge (visible to me). The left hinge cover is perfectly fine but the right one is causing unneeded trouble.
Structurally the hinge covers seem to be held down only by some wedges on the inner surface (don't know the proper term for them) and not a part of the area above the keyboard such as many Dells.
Since I wouldn't like it coming completely off eventually, would it qualify as a warranty case or would you consider it as normal wear-and-tear? Your thoughts how I can fix this? Would be greatly appreciated...
Yet another weak spot besides the faulty AudioDJ ?![]()

This can be repaired.. Don't know much about it being covered under warranty though. One of my friends has a Fujitsu Amilo, and the hinge cover came off. They repaired it without any charge.. Was a 5 min thing, so you can try Asus out..... Haven't had a problem with my F3Jp yet.. although it's just been 2 months...

The problem with "trying out" is that the turnaround time is 3 weeks in where I live which was when I got my faulty AudioDJ fixed
