personally i would stay away from fujitsu. Look at WD or Seagate.

I am assuming that I need a 9.5mm wide drive and nothing wider.

Is the general opinion that I should avoid fujitsu?

    Am I better with....

    320 GB Western Digital WD3200BEVT Scorpio, 2.5", SATA 300, 5400 rpm, 8MB Cache, 12 ms

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=787113

    Or

    320 GB Samsung HM320JI Spinpoint M60, 2.5", SATA 150, 5400 rpm, 8MB Cache, 12 ms

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=800122

    or

    320 GB Toshiba MK3252GSX Notebook, 2.5", SATA 300, 5400 rpm, 8MB Cache, 12 ms

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=798935

Bearing in mind these are are £20 more expensive - is it worth paying the extra?

The Western Digital one is slightly cheaper at Ebuyer - is OEM tho so no fancy packaging.
A samsung hard drive came as standard in my g/f's laptop, started ticking after a week of having it and has been plagued with problems, I swear by either seagate of wd and would definately pay the extra £20.

BTW, the WD at scan is also OEM.

    1. buy external 2.5" enclosure
    2. download wd's clone tool from website
    3. clone F3 drive over to wd
    4. shut down F3, remove battery
    5. remove screw from bottom of F3 HD bay & then swap HDD's
    6. replace bay cover and battery
    7. reboot F3 - all done :)
