Fed up of having to carry two external HD's for my files etc.
Want to go from my current 120gb to at least 32ogb but am unsure which one.
Will this one do the trick?

Don't know anything about what make is decent - is this one recommended?
-
-
yep, it will. as long is not a maxtor drive is fine.
-
personally i would stay away from fujitsu. Look at WD or Seagate.
-
I am assuming that I need a 9.5mm wide drive and nothing wider.
Is the general opinion that I should avoid fujitsu?
Am I better with....
320 GB Western Digital WD3200BEVT Scorpio, 2.5", SATA 300, 5400 rpm, 8MB Cache, 12 ms

Bearing in mind these are are £20 more expensive - is it worth paying the extra? -

A comparison between some 320GB HDDs. -
The Western Digital one is slightly cheaper at Ebuyer - is OEM tho so no fancy packaging.
A samsung hard drive came as standard in my g/f's laptop, started ticking after a week of having it and has been plagued with problems, I swear by either seagate of wd and would definately pay the extra £20.
BTW, the WD at scan is also OEM. -
Thanks for the reply people - have taken your advice and gone for the WD one at Ebuyer (thanks for pointing it out!)
Laptop totally crammed full at the moment - looking fwd to getting some space - just gotta figure out how to swap the drive now! -
ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
2. download wd's clone tool from website
3. clone F3 drive over to wd
4. shut down F3, remove battery
5. remove screw from bottom of F3 HD bay & then swap HDD's
6. replace bay cover and battery
7. reboot F3 - all done
F3Jp - upgrading harddrive - which one?
