    Hi!
I have got Asus F3L notebook with T2330 CPU.
I red it has got GL960 chipset and lavalys everest report it has got GL960, but Intel chipset identification utility says it has got GM965 chipset.
    What is the truth?

I want to upgrade my cpu to T7500 is it possible?
    Will it run properly?

    Thank you!

It's definitely possible, infact you can even upgrade to Penryn right up to the T9500 (X9000 may be too hot). I suggest to update the bios prior to the CPU upgrade.

    Thank you!
Yes, BIOS is the other thing.
I found 206 bios version on asus download site. It is the latest version.
This is written there: update CPU uCode from ver A1 TO A3 to Support T2390.
I don't know anything else about this bios.
Will it work with this bios?

Don't quote me on that though, the chipset supports it fine, but the BIOs needs to be updated to support it. Unfortunately there isn't enough clues in the BIOS to confirm Penryn support, but the date of release is fairly recent.

You should somehow confirm that your BIOS indeed supports the CPU before paying all those money for it...

(call ASUS / try before buying / I don't know...)
