What is the F3SV's build quality like? Any ripples on the screen when you push on the back? Does the case creak if you were to pick it up by a corner or something? How does the palmrest feel? Solid? Just trying to pick between the F3SV and the LG R500. Thanks for any input.

I'd like to know this too, as I'm trying to decide between this, the W3J, and the A8JS.

I think no matter what it is, it's not going to be as good as the W3J, which seems to have an almost legendary status in terms of design and build and build quality in the history of notebooks, at least on this forum.

I know, but if it's decent, then its other things could make up the difference (WSXGA+ screen, 8600 graphics, webcam).

You'll see ripples, but only if you attempt to rip it in half. Tapping the back won't neither, unless at the middle with some force. The Palmrest is fine, one side has the HD under it I believe, so that one is firm(right side?), the other feels a tad more hollow if you knock on it but it's still rigid. And yea, the W3 was pure awesome, shame they had to scrap it(F8, eh eh eh?)
