    Hello,
Yesterday ASUS Update downloaded and installed the updated BIOS, I also did the no indexing for my C drive because others said it would make your notebook's performance better. So since yesterday, and I am pretty sure it was before I took off the indexing, my laptop would just have a black screen when I close the lid. If I open it, I click on any key, nothing happens but the notebook is ON. I have to hold the turn on/off button until the notebook shuts off then turn it back on.

I have the F3ka-x2 if it makes a difference.

First, delete AsusUpdate since it is known to screw up Asus' notebooks, just get your updates directly from Asus' website, it's more up-to-date anyway.

As for the hibernation problem, the system file might be corrupted. To fix that issue, go into Control Panel and uncheck the option for enable Hibernate. Restart notebook. Go back and check the option for enable Hibernate. Try to hibernate the notebook.

Sorry - it should be in a tab somewhere under Power Options, I think.

This happened to me and I believe it was due to Vista update crashing and causing problems. Please post if that hibernate fix works for you.
