I am planning on buy this computer, but I have been searching the forums and have learned about is bad battery life. Is it really that bad? Can you watch a long movie on it unplugged? Should I wait for a deal on the intel versions?

    Thanks

yeah, the f3ka's won't have the best battery life mostly because they use the amd's turion processors, which aren't as power-conservative as intel's core 2 duos. of course, it's not like the battery life is abyssmal. probably more around 1.5 hrs - 2 hrs. core 2 duos may be able to swing 2 hrs. - 3 hrs. on a standard battery

i would think about the same thing (somewhere between 1 to 2 hrs). movie watching doesn't really task your system resources like playing games do. and then how bright you want your screen to be while you watch the movie factors in as well. are you planning to buy this laptop w/ vista or xp installed? (or maybe something else?)

I'm looking at buying this laptop too, I hope that the deal lasts. $800 for a 2600hd with 512mb vram and a dual core, can't be beaten in terms of gaming.
