    MAke sure that the voltage and the Amps are compatible. The Amp value of the new adapter should be greater than or equal to the old adapter.

    In the case of plug incompatibility, you can cut the cords and connect the new adapter to your old adapter's plug. (Make sure that you do not change the polarity.) Yes, there will be an aesthetic issue but it will work..

    Yes, the power adapter that you have in your link will work for the Asus F3Sv. As ramgen mentioned, take note of the voltage and amps.
