So I have the F3sv X1 which I bought from Ncix. In the pictures from both Ncix and Newegg, it is supposed to have a tv in port already installed. I double checked that those pictures are of the F3sv X1. Mine does not have it, does anyones F3sv X1 have the Tv-In port already installed, and not simply covered up like mine?

I think they might have jipped me!

You mean 1 x TV RF in (Optional)?

It looks like its optional, as the pictures are generic. I believe the A1 has it but the X1 doesn't.

I still can't, for the life of me, figure out what to do with that antenna port. Do I get an internal card? Is that supposed to be used in conjunction with a proprietary Asus tv tuner??

Well I spoke to an Asus Rep and Ncix Rep. It seems it is actually optional. It will not work because the one shown on many of the laptops or that is actually there is what they call a "dummy" port. It does not have any signal going through it. He said that the Tv-Tuner option is not available on the North American models.

When I heard this answer I said that is probably just a corporate gimmick, but it could explain the issue of why the accesories for it are not included and why no one can use it.

The only way I think that some one could test if the port will work is to actually remove the head off a coax cable and just take the pin and stick it in to see if you get any thing, otherwise it is virtually useless.

Any one with the port on their laptop who is willing to try please do and respond.
