I have a question, I bought a F3sv-a1, and I've been disappointed with the GPU. I downloaded the Lostplanet DX9 Demo, and i tried playing on 1152x720 resolution with the LOWEST settings and get like 4fps playing. Then i tried playing it at 800x496 with lowest settings and in a window. I get like 20fps, which is terrible. I can barely even play it.

I have downloaded the the 162.18 as said in this post http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=139489. and i got like 2230 on 3dmark06 (stock). Idle temperature is 64, and gaming is like 78.

I tried to overclock 600/500 and now i got like 30fps on the 800x496 resolution with lowest graphics. But the temperature when gaming is like 86'c. This stinks! This stupid card cant even run that game in low settings. Anyone know why?

there has been some discussion about how the core and mem speeds are much lower on the f3 compared to other 8600GS cards. I BOUGHT GRAW2 and it blows on this lappy...cant run this game at all. I guess we need to kind a legit driver so that this thing can actually work properly...

Are u running Xp or Vista.

If it is Vista then you should be able to get about 2700 + on stock.
try the 158.45 drivers from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13378 or try the new 163.44 drivers from the same site. This should give u better scores.

If it is xp then i think it is still a driver problem have a look here http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=160148

Post your resaults after your test.

I'm running a f3sv-b1 with 3GB ram and 32-bit vista and using the 158.45 drivers i only manage to get 2187 on stock =/

i can OC to 700/550 and get 2900+ scores but it doesnt satisfy me at all knowing that other 8600 GSes can 2700+ on stock
