I am looking at buying an F3SV-B1 and an important feature for me is battery life since I will be needing my notebook in school so I am looking for about a 3-4 hour battery life. On the Asus site it says it has a 4 hour battery life with a 6 cell battery but when I read reviews I see an hour and half to two hours. Who owns a F3SV-B1 and can tell me how long the battery life really is?

Ok I see 2.5 hrs so does anyone know why Asus is saying it has 4hr on the 6-cell and is there a larger celled battery available?

They probably found a way to get it to run for 4 hours, most likely very low powered and sitting idle.

Yah realistically a 6cell would not provie 4 hours on standard settings even for a laptop with an Int. Video Card. So for a laptop of the F3sv's calliber to be coupled with a 6-cell is unreasonable. I am sure Asus will get alot of complaints and eventually allow people to opt for an 8-cell or higher battery. I will tell you that unless you install XP, or any OS that is less resource hungry than Vista, you will not get 4 hours. I am personally going to have myself an XP-partition. So for school purposes I would say this notebook is fine, just make sure you are near a plug after two hours.
