I am looking for a review of this F5VL-AP128C model.
And especially for gaming performance. Is it worth spending 500 quid on it??

No in my opinion. The HD2300 is a rebranded X1300.

    I found this:
    http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.aspx?i=3117&p=7
and check the detail gaming benchmarks. Doesnt look too bad.
Even company of heroes is playable. i am trying to find a good value machine with a decent gfx for my best friend. he would be playing medieval II and possibly some of the new games as well but his budget is a bit limited. i dont think so he can afford any dx10 card that would play it well. even my hd2600 is struggling but CoH is quite gfx intensive ;)

Yes it is, but it is still far faster :) and for an extra £40 personally I think it would be better for the long term.

according to toshiba's website its a 256MB version so it must be a DDR3?? as I only know about hd2600 DDR2 coming in 512 MB.

I am 100% certain it is ddr2, as I have recommended it to someone before and I have got into the lengths to find out :p
