Just saw this at newegg for $899. It has nearly identical specs to the F6VE-B1 except it comes with a Penryn processor and an inch larger LED screen, so it should get better battery life. So far I can't seem to find any other information about it. Asus's website doesn't have anything, and all Google can find is stuff referring to the newegg page. I can't even find whether or not it comes with ddr2, gddr2, or gddr3.

If it comes with gddr3, is it worth getting or is there a better model?

    Wow!
That's really a great deal considering the F6Ve-B1 cost's $400 more, yeah it's a little bigger and bulkier but barely.
    Good find! :)

The F81 series is a brand new series from Asus, so there's not much info yet. I'd wait a couple more weeks before user comments start showing up.

But the model from Amazon comes with T6400, instead of P8600.

    Very true.

    P8600: 2.26GHz/1066MHz FSB/3MB L2Cache/25W Power Consumption
    T6400: 2.00GHz/ 800MHz FSB/2MB L2Cache/35W Power Consumption

Also the model names are different:
    NewEgg: F81Se-X1
    Amazon: F81Se-X2AM

Finally, and for me most importantly, I don't think the F81Se-X1 has bluetooth. If, for instance, you take a look at the N80Vn-X5 on NewEgg, it for sure lists bluetooth, and zooming in to see the stickers by the trackpad reveals the same info: 802.11b/g/b/n +BT. However, the F81Se-X1 does not list this, and the sticker does not reveal that same info as did the N50.

The F81Se-X2AM for sure has bluetooth. And a carry bag. AND a mouse. But a decently weaker processor that consumes a little more power.

I hope that there is a misprint on the sticker, because I really want the one from NewEgg, but not if it is without bluetooth.
