    Hi Everyone,

After my ordeal with the B1, I am still set on getting an Asus. It really comes down to the fact that I need something smaller than 15" but doesn't have mediocre specs and is rather up to date. I am pretty much waiting for the C1. I was wondering if any of the Asus resellers here had a chance to confirm with ASUS whether or not the C1 has a WXGA+ screen? Also, every site seems to have this on backorder/pre-order/ ETA mid-march. It there a more accurate ETA for this model? My classes have already started and was hoping to get this all worked out in the next week or so.

    Thanks for all the help!

According to specs at several reseller sites, the C1 is supposed to have the XGA+ screen but we'll probably have to wait until someone someday either gets one or a reseller cracks a box before absolute confirmation exists :).

As for ETA's, this is always fluid and is dependent on whenever Asus NA decides to release them to the resellers after they hit the shores in Fremont - in the past, they have been known to delay release (even if they have stock) to facilitate clearing older models. Mid-March has obviously passed, so you're probably at the mercy of Asus NA at this point. Whether they even have them yet in Fremont is something only the resellers might know.

f8sn-c1 has no concrete eta however asus own "timeline" says end of march. the a1 and b1 are almost in the same league. the c1 will be the more popular out of the 3. higher resolution, much better cpu...

For almost $250 more than the B1 I wonder. The "higher resolution" on a 14" screen will appeal to some but not others & it's not even a lock the higher resolution will be there. So one , for sure , gets the faster CPU & 70g's on the hard drive.

I think the B1 offers more for the money. But that's why they offer more than one model...everybody has his/her needs.

envious of you getting these so cheap, wow it is amazing, 25 percent cheaper than they are here.

A1 is sold so cheap like a grand? it is like 30.000baht, oh it is shockingly cheap , in my area , it is priced around 1500US or 1600US.

C1 sounds great , it is not available here yet but if the price will be similar to the US price above , it is what I have been waiting for , maybe it will be the best time to replace my toshiba and hps at the same time.

but I think it will be very expensive here , maybe more than 2k.

maybe call my mom to get it for me ans send it over here ?
    Thank you for your info.

most vendors in the states ship internationally but payment terms usually include wire transfer, no credit no paypal.
