Exactly what's in the subject...anyone had the same problem?

I've tried with few games and they all starting in window mode...what to do?

I have the nvidia driver from asus webpage, and directx 10 installed.

System is Vista home premium - and answers like go back to XP is not really any help as I like how Vista looks and dont wanna go XP.

    Thanks,

What games are you playing? It's usually in the game settings that you can choose to run full screen.

One of mine did this the other day, I just clicked the maximize button on the box and it fixed it.

for example Madden 2008 - has no setup. PES08 - it's set for full screen...

Maybe I need some updated driver or smth?

Two possible reasons. One is the scaling option on the drivers. If you set it to scale the resolution to the screen it should be able to play the game in full screen upto the laptop monitors maximum resolution. This can be found under the Nvidia Control Panel>Display>Change Flat Panel Scaling. Its self explanatory when you get there.

The other possibility is the mode you are running the games. If the games are running in DX9 mode make sure you set the game's exe to "Run as administrator" under the compatability tab in the exe's Properties dialog.

If its DX10 it shoudl run fine without any playing around.
