    ...I got my new laptop and checked the video specs with PCWizard 2008 and it shows:
    GPU Inforamtion:
    Memory Type: GDDR3

    Is this displaying correctly. I was expecting DDR2.

    whats the gpu core stock clock, if it doesnt show up on that app, check out riva tuner

    Me too. I have heard a lot of descrepancies about GDDR2/3 with the F8sv.

    I have seen sites that list it as GDDR3, but I have also read that it is infact G or DDR2.

    ...well I tried two other info apps and they say DDR2. It was said before that some sites spec DDR3 and some DDR2 - confusing sometimes. The bottom line is that so far I'm impressed with this Asus product - no as fast as my XP desktop but it will still do what I need it to do.

    I don't really play games much so I'm fine with either setup. Now I'm testing the speed of video encoding...
