    Hey,

I just received my F8SV-b1 from btotech - its a really great laptop and I am very happy with it, the only down side I see for now is the lack of scrolling option on touchpad...

Am I missing something? Is it hidden somewhere? If not, is it possible to get some driver for vista that would allow scrolling with the use of 2 fingers like in macbooks? That would be really awesome...

    Regards,

I don't have an Asus so forgive me if I'm stating something obvious to Asus users, but did you try running your finger up/down the far right edge of the touchpad?

The Synaptics touchpads on most current notebook models use, by default, the far right edge of the pad as a vertical scroll area (and bottom edge for horizontal scroll). If you have the Synaptics drivers installed, the scrolling feature is configured by going to Device Settings tab in the Mouse Properties dialog, clicking the "Settings" button, and opening the Virtual Scrolling node.

I know this is the case on at least Toshiba Satellite and Sony VAIO models, as I have both. I think it's also true on my 2 year old Dell Latitude but I can't swear to it, as it also has the stick pointer so I rarely use the touchpad.

I think I read it somewhere that you need to press it really hard to get it to scroll.

    I could be wrong though.

Yeah it works like that on mine. Although it's not that great. You have to get it just right. In the time it takes me to find the scroll spot and actually get it to scroll I could have manually scrolled down.

You know you can just increase the size of the scroll spot, just click on the icon in the taskbar tray, and go to device settings and then settings again, theres a lot of good options in there
