    One is 14' and one is 15', portability is an issue for me, but gaming is also an issue for me too.

    is the DDR3 memory in the G1s really a lot better?

    Price of F8 = 1399, G1=1499, so it's a close call, any comments?

    I take my laptop to school everyday for notes so portability is an issue...

    Have in mind that the battery life of the F8 is horrible, so the fact that it's smaller almost means nothing if you're always looking for an outlet.

    get the G1s REALLY believe me juist go get it and u be happy if not ur sad all because of the spec.

    Well it can also be the OP has a power outlet at school, in which case I'd still suggest the F8 over the G1 -- the G1 is bulky and heavy even compared to a typical 15.4" machine. Besides, the G1 has similar battery life...

    For 14" computers with good (> 3hrs) battery life, you'll probably need to look at something other than ASUS, or at an ASUS A8 with integrated graphics.
