I just bought the F8VA, my first Asus, and for some reason it only shows that i have 116GB of HD space when the specs clearly says 250GB (I know i won't have the full 250GB, but atleast 200GB??). So what is wrong here?

    Thanks

Do you have another partition? Look in Explorer. If you can't see it there then go to Disk Management. Perhaps the second partition wasn't formatted and given a drive letter.

Your 116MB is approximately half of the true capacity of a 250MB HDD.

You do have the full hard drive, but Asus routinely makes 3 partitions on their HDD's:
    1. Recovery partition
    2. C: OS
    3. D: Data

If you want to combine the two larger partitions into one (as opposed to just using them as is, with the benefits of not having to lose your data should an OS reinstall be necessary down the line) you can use Partition Magic or something like that.

Personally, I'd suggest leaving as is and using the data partition for that.
