Ok, well should I buy it now? Or wait to see if Asus or any other company releases a 14" with the new montevina platform and possibly 9600? Does anyone know if there are any plans for this or should I just go ahead and order it?

When is Montevina supposed to launch exactly? Days, Weeks, Months? Probably months, if so, how many? Late June, Early July? I dont really want to wait any longer then July. Also, when will we hear about notebooks using this new platform?

This has been discussed other times around here already....

Intel's launch date for Montevina is not until mid-July. Asus' historical pattern for refresh models after a new platform launch, which they have followed consistently over the past 3 years and 3 platforms, is to roll those out over 1-3 months afterward, leaving the most recently updated models to last.

You *will not*, in all possible likelihood, see the F8 or any other Asus models updated anytime in July and possibly not even in August, at least not until later in the month. Intel isn't talking about making large quantities of the new chipsets even available to the major OEMs for manufacturing until sometime starting in August to begin with.....

If it doesn't come in July, than wait until August.
Also you may wait for next to come.

It is never late to buy anything if you can wait.
