Hmm i just realized my W3V cames built with FAT32 imposed on the laptop... For XP? I'd rather have it done with NTFS... either I'm going to convert it... or...

along with the other thread here about freeing up system resources, I'm thinking about blowing out the laptop and rebuilding, but NOT with the system disk, as it would restore the harddisk to original spec, along with FAT32, a D: partition, and all the Asus utilities...

The only thing I might want to retain is the ASUS splash screen upon boot up. Anyone know where to grab that file and save it to floppy?

Anyway back to the issue... I got the system restore disc, and any W3V owner has a legal copy of XP, plus the product code isnt't that right?

Couldn't I borrow a friend's clean (when I say clean I mean it's NOT with Asus apps in it) XP cd, SP2, and install it onto my blanked out Harddisk?
