What is the function of this button on the V6J?

Also, do you have to press anything besides F2 to utilitze this key on bootup to get to your bios menu?
    I press F2, doesn't do anything

    The 'FN'?

Lots of functions, the symbols marked in blue are the functions, for example, F1 has the 'Zz' blue symbol, so FN+F1= hibernate

Pressing F2 should get you into the BIOS... just keep pressing it when you see the Asus logo when you boot up. It should get you into the BIOS for sure.

It also has one more function that I stumbled across.

I dunno if this works on all laptops, but it worked on mine and my friend's Z63A.

Hold the FN like you normally would and then press any number from 1-5.

    FN + 1 = Windows Explorer
    FN + 2 = Display Properties
    FN + 3 = Notepad
    FN + 4 = Calculator
    FN + 5 = MS Paint

    Oh yeah baby, so convenient.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Hey no problem guys~! I found this out while trying to dim my screen but hit the number keys by accident.

I'm sure it will work on any laptop since no two laptops are the same, even if they are from the same manufacturer. It worked on my friend's Z63A and I have yet to see if it works on another laptop, but I'm sure it will.

LOL flaxx I should still be thanking YOU~!!! Why you ask? For those LED light programs you made~!!! I'm still loving it and wouldn't know what to do if my LED's didn't work. THANK YOU FLAXX~!

Cheers and you're welcome guys :D

some of the triggers are actually toggles (like mute, wireless, touchpad, lcd power/selection). So just hit it again to disable/enable

The "lock light with a 1" is NumLock.
Just press "Fn + Ins" to turn it off.
