    Hi guys

So I have this laptop Asus UX32LN and sometimes the fan goes on for 3-5 minutes and then stops. And then goes on again. The sound is not really loud (you can barley hear it) so I was wondering if this is normal? Anyone else with the same laptop has this "issue"?

    Thanks

You could be hitting a thermal threshold which is telling the fans to ramp up and then the temps lower enough so they turn off. You can use HWMonitor to see if this happens at a certain temp.
I've you've had the computer for a while and its just started doing this then you should consider opening up the bottom of the computer to clean out your vents and fans from any accumulated dust/dirt. This will keep your temps lower and the fans won't behave like that.

The best way to determine whether this is normal behavior or not is to take Hutsady's advice on using software to monitor your temperatures. If you are able to catch the fans revving at a specific temp reading, then you are fine. If your temps are not rising much/there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason, then it could be a misnomer with the fan profile.

Yeah I checked it. When the temperature rises to 44-46 degress (celsius) the fan starts and then they when the temperature goes below that. Is it normal behavior?

Very much so. It sounds like you don't have anything to worry about regarding the fan behavior or temps. :)
