    Wow, I RMA'd my G50vt last friday.. It arrived there today and has already been shipped back to me. When it gets here this friday I will let you know if the speedy fix worked :) I'm just impressed that they fixed it so fast. It was overheating real bad.

    I'm betting on bad thermal paste. Since it's maybe a twenty-minute task if you do it slow, it makes sense that you're getting it back quickly.

    Or maybe it was a bigger problem and they just stuck your hard drive in a new unit. How cool would that be.

    As long as the parts are in stock, the repair time is usually 1-2 days. :)

    maybe they turned it on ran their tests and it was fine and sent it back?
    i feel like they did that with my f50sv :/

    They said they replaced the fan and heat sink and tested it at 60c under load.
