    1) How can I install an extra 512mb RAM stick and what type do I need?
    2) Where can I get an extra battery for it from?

You can get another battery from www.proportable.com. It is under the accessories for the W3V notebook. They also have it at buy.com however currently it is out of stock. Also the W3V has an empty memory module in the back and it is a breeze to install. There are even step by step directions on asus's website. It is under FAQs. Hope this helps

Yeah... You're right. Funny that they have a memory upgrade guide for the W3 which is an Ensemble line. But really useful.

They even encourage you to do it, but also recommend you to seek help from skilled personel if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.

As for the type of memory mod needed check out the Kingston site or I think Cruical has a search feature also.
