    Hello,

I am very close to purchasing a G1S-A1 but I have a few questions first. Keep in mind I am looking to buy it from Xoticpc.com

    1. Will I notice a FPS difference in games if I use a SATA 300 7200 RPM as opposed to a Sata 150 5400 RPM?

    2. I will be going to college Next fall. Will this machine hold up at least 3 years?

    3. Should I pay the money difference to throw Windows XP onto it or should I just leave Vista on it?

    4. What is the difference between Xotic's 3 year part/labor warrantee and getting Asus's 3 year Global warrantee?

    5. What does Asus's 3 year Global warrantee cover?

    Thank you very much

    1) In game? No. It will affect your load times. Maybe affect framerate for a couple seconds in games that have no load times after initial load when they load new areas on the fly (example: Oblivion)

    2) I think it has the Geforce 8600m GT DDR3 so it should hold up as well as any laptop with the exception of ones much more expensive and even then it will be diminishing returns.

    3) I'd try it with Vista first, see how you like it.

    4) No idea

    5) I'd be speculating or heresaying
