Ok Im not sur this goes here but
I have a folder on my desktop that used to work fine. The folder i made was titled games and it had all of my game shortcuts in it. I recently installed rocketdock and put shortcuts to all my games and programs in the dock. Then I hid all my desktop icons. Today I tried to delete the folder but when I do I get this error code: "0x80070091: The directory is not empty" and when i try to open the folder I get Games is not accesible. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. I have an Asus g50vt a1.
My other 2 folders on my desktop work fine....
can someone help me pls?
someone told me to use unlocker is this ok?
someone also told me to type this in the command directory
cd Desktop
rmdir /s Games

A few things to try... first, try: chkdsk /f and reboot. That might clear it up. If that doesn't work, you can try deleting the file from safe mode. If that doesn't work, make sure you are administrator, and try to take ownership of the folder.
If all else fails, yes, there are 3rd party utilities, but that should be a last resort.
The chances of rmdir /s working are slim as a normal user, you'd need to do it from safe mode or in an administrator console.
