    Hehe,

So it's windy and about 50 degrees outside, I have all the windows in my room open to vent out the stale air that's been sitting in here for the past 3 days. I'm sitting on my bed in shorts with my W3V on my lap. The hard drive heat has never felt so good :)

On a more serious note, has anyone taken notice of the hybrid harddrives samsung is coming up with? They intend to ship it next year i believe. Anyone think one of those drives could solve all of our heat problems?

For those not familar with hybrid hard drives, they combine a normal hard drive with a 1 or 2GB flash memory stick. Basically, it caches all frequently used files to the flash memory and will only write to the hard drive when the memory gets full. With good support (Windows Vista/Longhorn is suppose to support this natively) and under normal usage, the hard drive is only accessed a few times an hour. I think this could be the first step in ending all of our hd heat problems.
