Question? the one of the reasons i didnt get a W5a was it didnt have a dvd burner which i need often but i just noticed on asus website is says DVD-Dual
DVD-R/RW: 8X/4X or 4X/2X, DVD+R/RW: 8X/4X or 4X/2.4X, CD-R/RW:24X/10X or 16X/10X, DVD-ROM:8X, CD-ROM: 24X under the specs for it. any ideas why and is there any where to get one with the dvd burner?

Those specs are just to show what's possible......... panasonic is the only company who makes super slim drives at this point and they only make the 24x combo and the 2x dvd-rw...... the other numbers are what was supposed to be possible this year, but those drives still aren't out. You can't get anything but the combo drive in the W5's in the US, but you can buy the 2x dvd-rw for the V6 and use it in the W5 if you so desire a dvd burner...... that your only option.
