Having my faulty Asus notebook was no good for work, it would get hot, the charger would get stuck inside and I generally got fed up of having to set it into to PC World only to be told there was no faulty, - or to be told that Asus and PC World have not worked out a proper repair procedure so they will not repair the notebook. Although the notebook was finally fixed it then came back with 14 full length scratches on the lid, - which again I was not happy about!

I now have a Compaq notebook,- 3GB ddr2 Ram, Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83ghz, 200Gb hard drive, 17" widescreen, fantastic keyboard. However, the only down side is the Intel GMA 3100. Versus the Ati 2600 HD which the Asus boasted. Frankly, the Asus felt and looked cheap and did not really perform well for the price, the series was and still is flooded with faults.

So, anyway. No matter how many people say Asus notebooks come with exceptional build quality think again, - well that definitely goes for the F3/X53

    I agree 120%.
ASUS F3, rubbish. I wasted £700(discounted price from laptops direct) too, then 2 months later the crack appeared, then only to get smashed and trashed by UPS AND WWW.A-NOVO-UK/RETARDS.COM
