I think if I can sum up the point that Justin is trying to get across to everybody is that the differences are subtle but noticeable and in everyday use one would notice a difference and appreciate that difference. If you are able to spend the money on a nice notebook like the V6VA/J great you will have a beautiful, powerful notebook. If not there are models which will more than service your needs and you will not know what you are missing.
The best analogy is the car analogy. A civic is a fine car, gets you from point A to point B, and does it well. A BMW goes from A to B but a driver notices things like a tighter suspension, better turning radius and big brakes. A BMW can also turn heads but thats just an added benefit.

.... just for fun, let me take this to another level.... Now, driving a BMW may get you some action... it's much like owning an apple (take that where you want it)... but a lot of people look at them as a status symbol.. and those people are jerks (not all bmw and apple owners mind you... just the ones who have them to show off).
... now.. driving an Audi may not get you some action, but it's the stuble things that other enthusists can appreciate without you looking like a pompous ass.... Own an Asus is much the same. No one is buying it for it's name recognition (no average person - dorks are another issue altogether)... but tech enthusists will go nuts over them.
Finally had time to do a Z62f vs Z63a side by side
