    Finally purchased an x9100 for my G50

    So after being short on cash for so long, I decided to grab a step E0 x9100 off of ebay for $310. I was originally going for an OEM t9900 but being short $200 has limited me. The cpu should arrive in 4 days so I will update this thread with a bunch of benchmark results then.

    i dont think it will it uses the same amount of power as the T9xxx series so i dont think it'll be an issue

    The x9100 is 45nm as the t9900 and t series is 35nm from what I have read.

    yea that's why I was so bummed I couldn't get enough mulah for a t9900 which is a supposed exact copy of an x9100 minus 10nm =(

    Not quite. Both the X9100 and the T9900 are 45nm. The only main difference between the 2 CPUs is the TDP. X9100 has a 45 watt TDP while the T990 has a 35 watt TDP and the Intel Trusted Execution Technology enabled.
