Hi,
I was wondering if someone can help me out here...
I'm just in process of setting up XP SP2 on the F6S. I managed to find all the necessary drivers so no exclamation marks on dev-manager. My only problem is the fingerprint authentication method. I cannot seem to be able to register a fingerprint using the Asus Security Protect manager (V2.1.0.880.18).
-Multifactor Authentication is set to 'Any Method'.
-I then click on the 'Credentials' Tab.
-Fingerprint Authentication is there but is 'Not Registered' and the 'Register' button is grayed out.
-I then click on 'Properties' and within the 'Registration' window I mark a finger to be registered.
-Then click the 'Logon' tab and select the finger to present on logon.
-In Biometrics tab I can see the 'AuthenTec Fingerprint Sensor'.
-I Press OK, however Fingerprint Authentication is still not registered.
-Within 'My Identity' I tried to 'Register Credentials', however the Fingerprint Authentication Method is not even there...('show all available methods' is ticked).
Am I doing something wrong? ...outdated software/drivers ??
Or could it simply be a XP incompatibility issue...
Thanks for your time,
netBAT.
