At times I wish I'd studied German instead of French, but they only offer French in high school here.

Can anyone give us a quick translation?

the direct translation is "wait until it comes out in the usa because here in germany the specs and likely the models never make it to the usa, and also please visit our website where you will find more reviews like this one"

    Well said.

The current N80vn in Germany doesn't have LED lighting, so specs are going to be different.

PLEASE don't let it be a 4650... That is speculated on Notebookcheck to be the equivalent of a 9600m GS.

    That is incorrect i believe

the 4650 will be like the 9600gt and the 4670 will be like the 9700 gt these are two truly good GPU's.

No. The 4670 in the Dell XPS Studio 16 didn't score very highly in 3D benchmarks. I think it scored closer to the 9600M GS (as aformentioned).

Care to back up your claims with a link?

    Speculation is really neat.

I wasn't aware that the 4650M, 4670M, or 4850M had even been benchmarked yet, as no laptops have been released yet that include them...

we'll see when it comes out but i am certain that it hits close to 5500-6000 dont ask how just know it will

the 4670 will be between 6500-7500(yes that high)

the 4850 is gonna be around 9500-10,000 and the 4870 is gonna be about 12,000+

I'm betting it could get that high with GDDR3 memory, but I doubt that ASUS will put anything but DDR2 into the N81/N51.

no all 4000 series mobile cards from my knowledge, and from what ive seen are DDR3 ive seen quite a bit of notebooks already with the 4000 series(Msi and Asus) and both companies had nothing but DDR3

Hoy im estimating those score with like a p8600 or something.

February looks like the month for MSI, perhaps it's the month for the tighter lipped ASUS as well.

I'm waiting for ASUS to post specs on their site.

My German is rusty, but I believe I heard him say "You have the option of either an Nvidia or AMD graphic card..." also "Available with Intel or AMD platform".

That would make sense if you look at the current N80/N50's which come in Intel.

He also said something about the "form" being nice. I think he meant fit and finish.

im actually really really interested in the ATI 4570 for smaller notebooks this thing is 2-2.5x more powerful then a 3470 thats stunning that means you can play games on medium settings and still have it in a 12/13" form factor im telling you its gonna blow the Nvidia 9300/9400 out the water.

Aw come on Red Dragon, don't get me started again :(

ATI can say anything about performance, but you can't trust them. Just because their sheet said "2X performance of 3470" or "80% better" doesn't mean it's true. Even notebookcheck would be a more reliable source than ATI.

And why aren't you excited about nVidia's 100M series? They "claim" that the 130M will be 17% faster than a 9600M GT. That's better than the 4670, and there's heaps on numbers left until 180M ;)

thats cool, but see the only thing i cant understand is why nvidia went and renamed all there cards i hate that i understand there better performing but now everyone has sit down and learn it again and that is unnecessary woundt have been better is they were like the all new 9600m gt....DDR4! :D

Anyway i actually base this off of this chart.

Though they have manipulated the chart to hide actual numbers, it does show a claim for between 50% and 150% performance gains..

    Yes those gain looks awesome.

Also plasma, i checked the 105m its suppose to be about 35% more performance then the 9300gs which looks good

But if ATI claims are true(we'll have to wait and see) the 4570 should still be quite a bit better.

Baka yes this febuary lol to be honest i was more under the impression of march but i guess it doesnt matter :D

March is probably more realistic. But if ASUS wants to keep MSI down, they should have a ATI 4000 part ready in February!

As an N50vn owner, I already have the GT130 (9650GT) and while the card is good and around 17% faster than the 9600GT the Ati 4xxx series should absolutely destroy my 9650GT.

That'd be great, if you mean the 4650/4670. If the 4850/4870 Don't destroy the 9650GT, AMD has a problem. Graphics division is the only thing making AMD money right now, so they need a hit.

The 4850 should be between a 9800gt and 9800gtx as it stands now the 4870 should be quite a bit faster the the 4850 so they are gonna be awesome.

Also freakish i don't see any reason why the 4670 wouldn't destory the 9600/9650. I think these cards are gonna dominate the mid range we'll have to wait and see.

This chart is probably stacked to the max, with the older cards having the cheapest DDR2 while the newest one have GDDR3 or something.

    As for the memory speed,

Notice that DDR2 is an option for the 4600 series cards. Only the 4800 cards will have faster memory no matter what.

It's not confirmed, but it would appear to be the 4670 because the 4650 is weaker than the 9650m GT.

Wasnt it said that they were getting the 4650?

“ASUS constantly strives in delivering the best possible mobile computing solutions to our customers for exceptional multimedia experiences,” said Alvin Chou, Senior Product Manager for ASUS’ Notebook Business Unit. “We are pleased to offer the world’s first notebooks with the ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4650 graphics in the ASUS N51Tp and N81Vp; and ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4570 graphics in the F81Se.”

    Really?

Why would they downgrade the card? Odd. Hopefully Mr. Chou just flubbed, either that or its not set in stone.

EDIT: Actually, with faster memory the 4650 might be faster than the current 9650 GT with DDR2 memory. Red_Dragon may have a point.

of course i do ;) im actually really shocked i cant believe they mention the 4570 and i never noticed!! But thats weird though the Asus F8 is an older model i thought they discontinued that.

im interested in 4570 because im looking for a mobile computer and want goo battery life apparently compared to the 3470 the 4570 is MUCH faster and uses less power thats always a good thing.

this is the only reason i haven't gotten a Vaio SR or a notebook with a 3470 is because im waiting on that 4570.

    well heres some info:

"Leaving aside the freak known as the W90, Asus has been a good doctor Frankenstein and also made some more normal (and affordable) laptops equipped with AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4000 series cards. While not providing much info on them, Asus has unveiled that it is preparing the release of the Radeon HD 4600-boasting N81Vp and N51Tp and the HD 4500-loaded F81Se laptops.

"Asus constantly strives in delivering the best possible mobile computing solutions to our customers for exceptional multimedia experiences," said Alvin Chou, Senior Product Manager for Asus' Notebook Business Unit. "We are pleased to offer the world's first notebooks with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics in the ASUS N51Tp and N81Vp; and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics in the F81Se."

All boasting both AMD (GPU) and Intel (CPU) power, the three laptops will hit the stores during this quarter."

that means it Should DEFINITELY be here around march maybe even before that :D
