Is it really necessary for the laptop to be turned off while charging the battery for the first time? I know that charging the battery may be slower while AC is plugged in and while running Windows, but the battery should still charge normally - just slower, correct?

I ask this because I don't know if I can afford the time to charge it for ~24 hours... need to use it asap

Just bought a new M6Ne btw
