    Is this just with Asus? I'm new to Vista....

    But it'd be nice to know if my computer boots more slowly because of my 4gb ram compared to other setups.

    From that link it seems to be just with ASUS (since it's a BIOS bug). Although the link doesn't really describe the actual problem so it's difficult to tell.

    I wouldn't be surprised if other manuf. have issues with 4GB as well. 4GB in notebooks is more of an afterthought than something that is properly tested. Also completely useless (w.r.t. 3GB) with 32-bit OSes.
