Any of you out there with widescreen displays and nVidia chips probably know about their feature called "fixed aspect ratio scaling," which is basically where it stretches the picture to fill your screen while maintaining its ratio,
e.g. on my A8Jm (1280x800) I can play a game that's 1024x768 and it'll retain a 4:3 ratio with black columns on each side and fill the screen.

Well, it used to work on mine until I updated to newer drivers from LaptopVideo2Go.com (97.44). My older ones from Asus (84...) didn't seem to support PureVideo properly so I wanted to update them.

I can change the option to "fixed aspect ratio scaling" but it never actually does it-the picture always stretches to widescreen in the games I'm playing.

Anyone have any ideas? I could probably reinstall the old driver but that would ruin the point. I'm especially looking for input from people in the know, like dealers and what-not.

    Thanks!
