    Hi guys,

    I seem to have fixed the issue with the W7J where the wifi / wireless connection keeps dropping off every now and then...

    This is exactly what I did and now my wifi is stable :
    (I have the IntelĀ® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Card... you should check yours before you do this)

    STEP 1
    =============================
    Download the latest intel driver for the Wifi Network Card from here :
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/scr...D=&DwnldId=11849&strOSs=&OSFullName=&lang=eng

    This is the latest version as compared to the one on the Asus Drivers Site, This is the base driver. None of the Software crap which clogs the system

    STEP 2
    =============================
    Uninstall the Intel ProSet Suite completely including the base driver for the wifi card. Once this is done, your wifi card will stop working.

    STEP 3
    =============================
    Restart the computer. It will prompt you to install drivers for your wifi card.
    Use the new intel drivers that you downloaded and complete the install.

    STEP 4
    =============================
    Now you need to change the generic channel that your wifi card used to transmit. Go to Device Manager > Your Intel Pro Wireless Card > Properties > Advanced ... and change the 802.11 b/g channel value to 2... it will have from 1 till 11 channels...

    Thats it.. this seems to have fixed my wifi card ! Been using it steady for 4 hours without a single drop !
