    Flashing W3V BIOS onto Z63A?

    Ok, i've read that the newer BIOS for the W3V will work fine with the Z63A, other than changing the boot logo. problem is that the BIOS flash utility ASUS supplies sees that the laptop model is different and won't let me flash.

    what other BIOS update programs can I use?

    What? That's not right..
    you can use the W3A (<-- note the A, not V) BIOS... not the W3V bios.

    ah... ok... I'll download the W3A BIOS, then.

    hrm... apparently the w3a BIOS zip file is corrupted

    yeah... W3a will work and would put an Asus boot logo on the startup screen... but the W3v bios should not work.
